Don’t ask a Negative Person for a Positive Solution!

Updated: Mar 13, 2022

Feeling negative and need a positive solution? Here’s what you need to know!

Do you ever have one of those days when you’re feeling overwhelmed with life, work, the mess up to your ankles, never mind the odd pandemic and economic meltdown?

And then in the middle of your mental shitstorm, you allow yourself to wonder what you can do about it.

So, your brain starts to crank out possible solutions…

And you make the mistake of bouncing your ideas off the wrong person.

“What a crap idea…”

“That can’t possibly work…”

”Nah, you’re in deep shit and there’s nothing you can do about it…”

”Why don’t you accept your situation instead of fighting it?”

WTAF?! Aren’t they supposed to be uplifting you instead of bringing you down?

Well, actually, no

They may not have the right mindset to help you process your situation. Or be able to signpost you to constructive ways to help yourself. And have no idea how to help you pull yourself out of the mire. Or the experience of overcoming similar challenges.

One of the dangers of feeling stressed, anxious and overwhelmed, is the tendency to talk to others that don’t have the answers… or insight… that you need.

Have you made that mistake before?

If you’re looking for a solution, ask someone who knows something you don’t – that you’re capable of achieving much more than you presently realize.

And that the solution to your problems is inside of you. The right person will help you find the positive solution.

Enjoy reading books? Here’s what I’ve read recently and highly recommend. In fact, I’m telling everyone about this incredible read:-

This practical and inspirational guide to healing from the bestselling author of The Choice shows us how to release your self-limiting beliefs and embrace your potential. The prison is in your mind. The key is in your pocket.

In the end, it’s not what happens to us that matters most – it’s what we choose to do with it. We all face suffering – sadness, loss, despair, fear, anxiety, failure. But we also have a choice; to give in and give up in the face of trauma or difficulties, or to live every moment as a gift. Celebrated therapist and Holocaust survivor, Dr Edith Eger, provides a hands-on guide that gently encourages us to change the imprisoning thoughts and destructive behaviours that may be holding us back. Accompanied by stories from Eger’s own life and the lives of her patients her empowering lessons help you to see your darkest moments as your greatest teachers and find freedom through the strength that lies within.

Definitely a book that offers a positive solution to what seems a negative situation.
