What is the only positive affirmation you'll ever need?

Are you searching for a positive affirmation that will work magic in your life?

What if I told you that the perfect positive affirmation for you has been around for over 100 years, waiting for you to discover it?

Let me introduce you to the man who created what I believe to be the best positive affirmation ever:-

Émile Coué (1857-1926) was a French pharmacist and psychologist who searched for a way to help others to overcome all manner of physical and emotional problems. He became known for developing the method of autosuggestion, which became popularly known as "Couéism."

Coué's method gained significant popularity in the early 20th century, attracting attention worldwide. His ideas spread through his book, 'Self-Mastery Through Conscious Autosuggestion,’ published in 1920.

He focused on the power of the mind and how to use it for self-improvement through repeating positive affirmations.

Coué believed that the mind influences physical and mental health. He discovered conscious and subconscious repetition of positive affirmations have a powerful effect on health. And he found that imagination is stronger than the will. The use of the power of imagination and suggestion can bring about positive change.

While this may seem overly simplistic, his emphasis on the power of positive thinking and the role of the mind in shaping personal experiences had a lasting impact. His ideas gave birth to various techniques and practices for personal development and well-being that are still being used today.

And what is Coué's most famous and powerful affirmation?

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better.”

But why does this positive affirmation work so well?

Because when you recite this affirmation, you're telling your subconscious that no matter what it is, you're getting better and better at it!

The phrase 'getting better and better” acts as a command that the subconscious carries out. It simply creates the conditions to make you better and better…

And the good news is that it works on many levels: mentally, physically, emotionally and creatively.

Repeating a Positive Affirmation is Essential

By repeating the positive affirmation consistently, it becomes deeply ingrained in the mind. The repetition helps reinforce positive beliefs and gradually replaces negative or self-limiting thoughts.

Need a reminder to use this positive affirmation? Then there’s nothing like having a visual reminder that you'll see and use regularly to keep you on track! So, pop a post-it note on your mirror, computer, desk - or anywhere that you can think of - to remind you to use your affirmation.

This particular positive affirmation emphasizes improvement and progress, directing your conscious and subconscious mind towards paying attention to the positive aspects of life. Focusing on positive thoughts can have a beneficial effect on your mood, motivation, and overall mindset.

If you hold self-limiting beliefs that hinder your progress and confidence, the affirmation challenges these beliefs and encourages a more optimistic and growth-oriented mindset. By repeatedly affirming positive change, you can start to believe in your capacity for improvement, which can lead to increased self-confidence and motivation.

The power of the affirmation lies in its ability to shape your mindset, promote positive thinking, and influence behaviour and well-being. And the beauty of it is that you really only need this one affirmation, "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better," because, when you think about it, it literally covers everything and every eventuality, doesn’t it?

  • Maybe you desire to become fitter and stronger. "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better."

  • Need to hone a particular skill? “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.”

  • Do you want to become better at making money? "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better."

  • Perhaps you want to become more confident in social situations. "Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better."

  • What if you want to raise your level of self-esteem? “Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.”

What is it that you’re yearning to get better and better at?

Think of any aspect of your life that you wish to improve and you'll see that this positive affirmation is the perfect starting point!
